HIMGODDESS
Shame for the Blackwell staff who will loose their jobs. No bookshop in Broomhill now just tons of supermarkets.
jamtart27
Yes I can confirm that Williamson Hardware will be returning to their previous premises (currently Blackwell's) around December 1st. with a much reduced stock range. Sainsbury have won. i understand this was all supposed to be confidential until signed, ironmonger hmmmm could you possibly be part of williamsons ? where do you get your info? Hopman
Bitterly ironic that the news breaks on here that a bookshop is closing on the day the supermarkets are swamped with the new J.K Rowling.

The bookshop has gone downhill rapidly since they closed the mapping and travel guides section upstairs. That was the unique feature about that Blackwell's store, and the main reason I went out of the way to shop there.

If they are to close it would be another loss to Broomhill, but you cannot blame Ironmonger or Williamsons for the way you found out, Blackwells must be aware and should have kept colleagues informed. Singh1288
On the subject, has Rhythm And Booze closed down in Broomhill? Would anyone from broomhill like to see this shop reopen as an independant off licence? Edited July 10, 2013 by Singh1288 Wrong spelling of broomhill
mr_arc
I don't think anyone in Broomhall would care, it's a bit far for them isn't it
