Jubilee Protest Day

Recommended Posts

As I said on another thread about this subject yesterday, if you don't like it, emigrate...it's not rocket science.

im proud of the city and country i came from

im proud of the rights we have in this country including the right to protest (whether its countryside alliance, animal rights, muslims burning poppies or people against the monarchy)

im also proud of this countries long heritage in allowing people from all over the world to take refuge if they need

People ought to think that they are lucky enough to have the freedom to celebrate or not,if we had lost the last war we would have been FORCED to celebrate Adolf Hitler tag.

we were all flag waving when the country including the royals sorted old adolph out....so the great unwashed have no chance...:hihi::hihi:

And look what happened to him. Still ended up with a monarch, didn't we? :)

I bet it wa good at the time. people power worked then, great days, I would love to see one of todays royals get the chop, and cameron and clegg as well, that would be a good day out for the family. I would certainly buy a ticket for me and the family to watch that goin off on Tower Hill. :hihi:

Anybody who prefers to do away with our monarchy and let some of our politicians be rulers of this country need to really take stock. Britain has been made a laughing stock on numerous occasions for the decisions some of these politicians have made. Im no royalist but many countries still respect and envy the fact that we have the royal family.

No they don't respect us, they think we are pompous pillocks for putting up with them.

Pension them off and sell all there assets to help pay off Country's debt.

The people couldn't wait to get rid of Cromwell and get a Royal back, could they. Cromwell was a miserable sod, who wouldn't let people have any fun, he was like the Grinch. And that's why we'll never stand for a republic in this country.

Me, a Cavalier. taxman and Ridgewalk, Roundheads ... the name killjoy was invented for these people. :hihi:

Sounds good on paper doesn't it? Just like Socialism. Cromwell called himself Lord Protector but he turned out to be more Nazi than protector, committed terrible atrocities in Ireland and even cancelled Christmas. As with all these so called "causes" they aren't careful what they wish for. They know what they don't want but when they get what they think they wanted it all goes horribly wrong. After Cromwell people welcomed the royals back with open arms. They would rather have a monarch than a political dictator any day. And that's as true today as it was then.

We're pompous? How? :huh::confused:

If we took all the money away from rich people and shared it about everybody'd get about a quid each, hardly worth it. It's the politics of envy by people with no talents and no aptitudes who think the world owes them a living, which seems to be endemic in this country. Too many Roundheads and never enough Cavaliers! :D
