Eckolad
No. You have a default for a reason. Good on the banks being careful and refusing you. It will drop of 6 years after default date. So learn to manage better first

If the default has been put on in error, chase this up in attempt for it to be removed. Regards the mortgage, speak to a broker... they'll find you a lender willing to lend you the money, however you may find yourself paying an increased level of interest, as you're more of a risk to said companies because of this default. Eckolad
A default is not one stupid mistake, it is a series of missed payments (erm mistakes) resulting in a default of a credit agreement.

Eckolad
Why is it people don't like hearing the truth. A default due to its procedure can't not be your fault if you know about it....

With houses still falling in most areas and unlikely to recover in the near future you are better off renting.
