JFKvsNixon
I'm sure he'll have benefitted very nicely from the recent Tory and Lib Dem tax cuts for the super rich. Even though the tax rates for the super rich is higher after the cut than it was for all but a couple of months of Labours time in power. So they may be benefiting now, but not as much as they did under Labour.
Joe9T
Are not all applications for credit recorded on your credit file for six years? Probably, but Wonga still refuse to cancel someones account, as in their "My Account" details accessable online. Why can't they do that simple task, but still hold details for six years for their records if they legally have to? They don't want to because they don't want people from cancelling or not being able to access their account again.
Joe9T
Shame on you for using "wonga" They are good for getting u out of s**t, but I agree, shame on me!!! I have become to realise though that they are quite an evil company, who couldn't care less about their customers. I want out, but they wont let me for SIX YEARS at least and that is SOOOO WRONG!!! Two wrongs have never made a right and Labour pandered to the super rich at the expense of the poor when they were in power, which is also disgusting. However, at least they weren't robbing the disabled and at least they didn't try to tell us that we were all in this together. The Tories and Lib Dems can't have it both ways. Either we are in times that calls for austerity or we are not. Stealing from the poor and giving mega tax cuts to the super rich just does not wash. The tax for highest earner had been 40% for years up until a couple of months before the election where Labour increased it to 50%, the announcement in the last budget knocks that tax rate back to 45%. Interestingly it hasn't actually brought much more money into the country. If it was up to me, I think that enforcing tax payment by the closure of the loopholes is far more important that than the seemingly politically motivated messing about with tax rates. Gordonb
Saw a guy last week in Bridlington wearing a T-shirt with Wonga all over it. Thought he looked a bit like a div.
saunaman
So we know all about Beechcroft and Wonga . What's the solution so that people are not forced into the arms of such companies ? Is now a good time to turn to community-run co-operatives , locally-run and not for profit . Money could be invested and borrowed at acceptable rates , and they could provide a few jobs as well - I'd certainly be happy to invest in these schemes , particularly if it meant stopping Beescroft getting even richer whilst causing untold misery to lots of people , AND QUITE FRANKLY , NOT CARING Does anyone know of any such co-operatives already set up in Sheffield ? Tradescanthia
I'm sorry if I offend anyone but anyone who accepts Wonga's terms and conditions deserve all they get. All the 'payday loan' companys are evil but Master Beecroft is in a class of his own. Mr Cameron should choose his friends more carefully.....
