RootsBooster
what is strange is the dog didn't react Why is that strange? Palirich has already said that what he saw wasn't ghosts, would you expect a dog to react to nothing? yet they are supposed to be susceptible to these things. Are they? Is there a reason to think that or is it just something that some people say, perpetuated by others accepting it and repeating it?
xenia
I see nothing wrong with living a decent healthy lifestyle. So its been established you are male, that would account for the odd aggressive comments we see in your posts sometimes. You are not the first to say that, if you are correct I deeply regret that I give that impression. I do express myself very directly and have strong views on certain subjects, but it is not my intention to offend. If I have offended you in any way I do unreservedly apologise. bigjoker
Now most of you who are familiar with me will know that I am a total sceptic on the existance of ghosts. That is why this interested me so much. I woke up at 2am this morning and at the end of my bed I saw two girls. They were dressed in what appeared to be night gowns, one was about 18, the other about 13. There outlines were as clear as day and I could make out some details. They were just stood there looking at me. What interests me about this is I know there were no ghosts, I woke the dog up who made no suggestion whatsoever that anything was there with us, but I swear on my life they were there, my eyes definately saw them, my brain definately percieved them, for all intents and purposes there were two girls stood at the end of my bed. Fortunately the fact that I am well versed in Buddhist meditation allowed me to analyize the situation to such a degree that I saw the process as it unfolded of the the way the light was playing, the fact that I didn't have my spectacles on which meant my vision wasn't its best, and my mind filling in the gaps. There were definately no ghosts in my bedroom last night. But to my eyes and my brain there were definately two girls stood at the end of my bed, I saw there outlines, I saw details to a degree that I saw there faces and what they were wearing. Seeing these ghosts and analyzing the situation as it unfolded has convinced me beyond any doubt I may have had that ghosts don't exist. I definately saw two ghosts last night. Any thoughts? My first thoughts were, can I have some of whatever you are on, sounds good stuff.

epiphany
PaliRichard, I do not doubt for one second you saw something, but I believe physicists and psychologists are working on the specifics of what you saw, or indeed what your mind made you think you saw. There is no reason to jump to the conclusion that ghosts exist. The construct of the ghost is quite a complex creation of the human mind. Even if we were seeing apparitions of deceased humans, perhaps because of something as elaborate as a coil in the timeline, it's still a stretch to say they are souls outliving their physical bodies. There is still so much we do not know. Keep that in mind when you see and hear strange things.

I don't believe in ghosts, what I said was my mind interpreted what I did see into two people complete with details. Essentially that my mind made the whole thing up (and I was aware of the process of it doing so) so convincingly that for all intents and purposes their were ghosts in my bedroom. My mind believed they were real, while at the same time another part of my mind observed the whole thing unfold. If I may use a metaphor it was as if I was a director watching a scene being filmed and despite knowing it was all scripted and fake simultaneously convincing myeself that it was real. I know, I always knew there were no ghosts. But at the same time my mind convinced itself they were there.
