Depends on the company. Depends on how you correspond with the company. Mortgage companies don't want to re-posses, speak to them about a payment arrangement. Certain companies will look to re-posses after one month (Northern Rock have been known to), others can be upto 2 years. Don't let it get to the possession route, otherwise you'll be hit with their fees for re-possession and also for selling it. Plus any interest accrued in the interim period.
