old tup Posted June 7, 2012 Share Posted June 7, 2012 My daughter and hubby moved into a new home 5 weeks ago and applied for a phone line.Outside on both sides of the house are telegraph poles one has too many connections on already the other none at all.After several visits from the phone company they were informed that they couldn,t go up the empty pole until the "elf and safety" officer said so.Unfortunateley he was in India or China or somewhere many miles away and it was bad luck on them,they have had a couple of visits since and fingers crossed they should be connected soon with a discount for their trouble.Tiddle ups and breweries comes to mind what a farce!
