A bank question.

Recommended Posts

Santander have been getting a lot of bad press on the financial pages of the Sunday papers …… I just wondered if you might be the next one I read about.

Nope, its Natwest this time...had loads of trouble with them in the past and should close my account down with them but its such a hassle starting a new bank account :(

Don't you just tell your new bank that you want to swap and they do all the legwork?

BACS payments take 3 days to clear, the 7th was probably too late in the day to count, so it should show up in your account by the end of tomorrow.

I get payed via the BACS system and it always goes in my bank the next day, payed out Thursday and in my account midnight Thursday/Friday morning.

If you're mad at the banks now try watching " 97% Owned -Positive money .

Be warned it's about an hour long documentary but it's basically explaining how we have been fooled and manipulated by the banks for years , and what we can do together to stop it !

Lucky you. The BACS system normally takes 3 working days as described in the wikipedia article.

The new FPS service which a lot of banks have now implemented takes <1 day, I quite often see payments processed in <4 hours if both sides of the transaction are using FPS.
