Fifty Shades of Grey - Don't see what all the fuss is about myself

Recommended Posts

My girlfriend has been reading it. According to her the frequency of sexual activity gets a bit tiresome.

I can understand how, to the archetypal "bored housewife" it might be a nice departure from their safe, vanilla sex life. However, the fact that it has become as mainstream as it has suggests it doesn't explore anything particularly controversial.

The funniest thing about the whole fifty shades of grey furore is that it's got the feminists all muddled and confused.

For years they've been saying that any man who uses porn is an evil sexist pervert for objectifying women as little more than pieces of meat for their sexual satisfaction. Now it's revealed that women actually enjoy pornography too they don't know what to make of it. Especially as the book's popularity shows that most women's sexual fantasies involve being tied up and submissive to a man's desires!

I love erotic fiction when its well written. I don't call men who watch porn perverts. I think the women in hooters are often using the blokes that go!

....just to pee on your bonfire!

So not a Happy Hooker, then!

Nope. I am actually irritated most of the time when reading due to the author's crap writing. But... I've got this far, had I not bought all 3, I would have been tempted just to google what happened in the other two.

For anyone saying it's filth, seriously, it's not even that bad! Repetitive.
