Joanl
I remember a similar hype back in the late fifties for Lady Chatterly's Lover. We had an outside loo that had a missing brick at the top. I could just about reach far enough into it to conceal my copy. Penquin Books that were at the time taken to court for publishing obscene material as I recall.....phttt!.... tame compared to now. spydakat
My local library has 11 copies of this on order, 2 on loan and 46 pending requests! If it ain't good read then be a lot of disappointed folk and probably a rather upset library service at having spent all that cash! LOL
Amaranthus
Actually, I think it depends on how kinky the woman is and the filthier the woman, the less impressed she is by it, in my experience. The first book distinctly lacks the wow factor, in my view. It's pretty vanilla and tame. Could not agree more. The people who are salivating over it seriously need to go read some decent erotica. This is like the literary version of those B movie softcore pornos you can watch for free on 'Movies For Men'.

Amaranthus
Erotica Porn without pictures you mean. Well 50SOG is of course masquerading as erotica and not porn. There is so much (better) erotica around that I wonder if it's merely the BDSM element which has rocketed this piece of turd into popularity. I can imagine it now; bored housewives squealing, "Oh my! Mr Grey is into bondage! How scandalous!", whilst fanning themselves.

JenC
Erotica is porn. Theres no difference It is. Using the word erotica, for me, is simply to show that you mean written porn as opposed to other types.
