fredbear2004 Posted June 12, 2012 Share Posted June 12, 2012 help needed please for our brother in-law his nephew has lost the only key for the car ,searched high and low for it for the last 2 weeks with absolutely zero luck now the car needs moving asap but obviously cant start a vehicle properly without a key does any one have any idea how we could get round this without hot wiring it or taking out a small bank loan to fix a car that worth about as much as a packet of chocolate digestives any help or advice would be greatly apprieciated. have been told would need new locks ,transponder ,ignition don't know if this is correct or if theres anything else we would require as i've already said any advice would be greatly welcomed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm pretty sure that the key will have a transponder code in it to deactivate the immobiliser (depending on the year of the car). I'll PM you the number of a Pug specialist in Rotherham who can give you some free impartial advice. And to all others reading this thread, do you know where your spare key is?
