BASECAMP 2012 - Rat Ride 50KM - 8th July

Recommended Posts

Get in the saddle and hit the roads for the Rat Ride! This cyclosportive-style event is a great opportunity to start Sunday’s portion of the Cliffhanger weekend by providing a sociable ride while being back in time to grab a quick shower and fully embrace the rest of one of the UK’s biggest outdoor events. The 50km waymarked course will guide you into the Peak and on a tour of excellent roads and countryside to be found right on Sheffield’s doorstep, before descending back to Graves Park and back to Rat Race BASECAMP. We’ll provide a feed station on the course and a secure compound to lock your bikes in. Remember though, it’s not a race, it’s just for fun. Start any time within our given time window and enjoy!

The start window is between 9 – 10am allowing you to start the event as you please within this hour window.

Rat Race Adventure Sports are proud to be working with Cliffhanger in 2012 and we look forward to bringing everyone the opportunity to get involved in what we do best over the entire weekend. From the Friday evening through to Sunday, we’ve got a programme of action lined up at BASECAMP to light your (camp) fire. As is the case with Cliffhanger the event is for everyone and with that in mind Under 16’s can access the BASECAMP arena for FREE!Over the course of the weekend BASECAMP will offer you the option to run or ride, listen to some absolutely stonking live music and enjoy our beer tent and the rest. That’s not forgetting the Rat Race Store of course, crammed full of shiny stuff from bags to bikes; racks to ropes. Then pitch your tent in the BASECAMP village and enjoy a night or two under the stars…
