Lexikia
My father inlaw worked at Stones Cannon brewery a number of years ago and said Worthington's was brewed as a cheap alternative to the regular Stones. I still see it in some hotels i stay in while working away but always try to avoid it and same goes for John Smith's. Nearly every town seems to sell this, taste's nothing like the John Smith's and Magnet of a few years ago.
Alien52
It was only brewed for people who lacked taste buds.

Jim Hardie
Blimey, haven't seen White Shield in yonks. Is it still brewed? To answer my own question, it looks like it is. Complete with trendy label.

sevenmonkeys
Worthingtons is sold at the Riley's snooker club on Mansfield Road so will probably be sold at the others, in case you didn't know you don't have to be a member to have a drink in Riley's.
