wednesday1
That's a bit off message, I'd thought that you'd acknowledge the international financial crisis as being at the root of the problem; or did that end when Labour lost power? Economic gowth was increasing until the ConDems messed it up, long before the Eurozone crisis! And you know it.
I1L2T3
Ah! Here we go! The usual 'prove it! Prove it!' redolent of the schoolyard brat who isn't getting his way. Here's a link to the Daily Mail (gotcha! Certain outlets aren't allowed in lefty la-la land). If a series of budgets by Brown which took several days/weeks/months to unravel isn't proof enough of this man's legendary lying capabilities, as Mr. Smith said he took the housing costs out of inflation calculations, he's convinced some on here that his criminal gold sale only cost 'a drop in the ocean', etc. etc. Just with PFIs he proved he was more than willing to hoodwink the public. Almost certainly you'll engage in semantics and claim none of this is 'corruption'. No wonder the likes of Brown get away with it. I think the one thing that sets Gordon Brown apart from the current PM is the much lower volume of arrests and criminal charges levelled against his close friends and associates. After Osborne's catastrophic economic mismanagement there is no moral high ground for Tory supporters. We'll take maybe a decade or more to recover from this. MrSmith
Well it was predicted. Funnily though before even the current government came to power, such was the mess that they inherited. They always seem to forget the growth before the crash was growth stimulated by unaffordable debts and the recovery they think GB orchestrated which he claimed saved the world was stimulated by unaffordable debts. We'd probably be in even more debt now if we'd just let the economy sink into depression.

It's touching that you listen to what King says. Really cute.
Jim Graham
Economic gowth was increasing until the ConDems messed it up, long before the Eurozone crisis! And you know it. Economic growth was increasing on the back of Labour borrowing £170bn a year. Any fool can do that and Brown was the biggest fool around. Now that Osborne has got that borrowing down to £127bn a year the growth has slowed but we are still much better off than our neighbours. Of course the solution to all our problems is really to have the country run by Gordon Brown's advisors in the form of Minibland & Balls

green
Both Labour & Conservative believe in bailing out the banks. Both believe in Neo Liberalism. Both have & will continue to lead us down a path of Austerity. Neither of them believe in bailing out the people. Its all about "the markets". Whilst we continue to battle with Labour vs Tory arguments they continue to fleece us. They are no less corrupt than the politicians we read about in Greece or Ireland or Spain. The only difference is, we just haven't realised it collectively yet.
