bokywhat
The Alexander Technique (AT), as I understand it, is about improving posture. AT teaches you to recognise incorrect muscle use. By using excessive muscular effort we pull ourselves out of shape. AT teaches you to recognise how relax the muscles. I intend to have AT lessons and would be grateful to receive answers to the following questions: Would you recommend any particular AT teacher in Sheffield? Has anyone received instruction in the Alexander Technique? How frequently and for how long did you have lessons for? I would think anyone interested in the claimed benefits of Yoga, Chi Gung or Pilates would find the principals of AT interesting. Anyone sceptical of the aforementioned or put off by physical exertion may find the AT approach more palatable (but expensive). I look forward to hearing of people’s experiences of the Alexander Technique.
