Caricaturist
Hi, looking at taking part in the Bupa yorkshire run (sheffield) this year, first time i've entered so a bit new to me. How does the sponsorship work for this? Can I choose any charity or do they have to be one of the ones on the BUPA site? I wanted to use Thornbury Animal Sanctury as my charity but can't find any information on the website about using your own. Any help is much appreciated, thanks. RichJay
As far as I'm aware you can run for any charity or none at all.
runningowl
If you want to run for thornberry, contact them, they may have official forms to send and you can set up a page on justgiving website as well
Caricaturist
Okay will give them a call, thanks
More4loans
The entry fee goes to the BUPA chosen charities and any sponsorship is then up to you. If you want a local 10k run for a good cause, there's the Brinsworth 10k a week on Sunday. Its open to all standards http://www.brinsworth10k.co.uk/
Banksy
Otherwise "run in the park" this weekend in Graves Park or the TENTENTEN in Endcliffe park both support Weston Park Hospital.... www.sheffield10k.com I've done the GYR and wasn't overly inspired by running up and down Penistone Rd, but hey the atmosphere and turn out is pretty good! Caricaturist
Thanks, only just picked these messages up, already signed upto the Bupa one now but may look at doing this regular so will keep the other local ones in mind cheers. And I have got the paper sponsorship forms from Thornberry now as they don't have an online setup, will do it the old fashioned way but at least its for a good cause. Thanks everyone for your help.
