I need help geting a job

Recommended Posts

well at the end of the month i will have been unemployed for 5 years i think, i have lost track of time over the years. i have been looking for work over the last 4 years and i have had nothing but people saying no we have filled the position. i am 23years old now and feel lost, frustrated and disheartened that i am in this position and i have lost faith that i will ever get another job which i cry about.

how can i get in to a position where i can be employable as i have been at collage training to be a mechanic which is a 3 year course third year was optional don't know why i did the third year i should have jump ship at the end of the level 2, no one will take me on as a mechanic as i have limited experiences in a garage environment this is what i have been told by all the garages i have been to. i am now thinking of going to do an engineering qualification but that will take another 3 years but i think this will lead me round back to where i am now which i don't wont, all i wont is a job how can i do this as i don't understand what’s stopping me from getting one.

and don't tell me it's the economy or the Euro or sum other world problem because its not its my problem and it rely upsets me.

sum key point i would like to know

1) how can i get in to a position where i am more employable considering i don't have much in the way of gcse(o-levels for the older ones) (i don't do to well in class rooms), i think i have kinda answered that one for my self there.

2) where can i get the experience if no one will give me a job in the first place.

3) will doing the engineering qualification get me closer to getting a job?

Sorry to here about your situation, but a few points that I have picked up on.

At the age of 6 in 1995 you changed a cambelt on a G reg Astra, you complain that nobody will give you a chance at a garage with cars at 23 you do not drive, so how can you fix a car if you have no understanding of how it works when on the road.

My Grand Son at the age of 16 will start at Kwick Fit in September and he does not have 4 years experience or an MOT ticket.

Get a grip and find any work 40 hours minimum wage surely is better than the dole.
