xfox3x
I don't eat many McDs, but sometimes I get a real craving for one and nip to the drive-through yummmmm. Wish Wimpy was still around ..I loved their quarter pounders. BTW I am not a youngster, chav, uneducated or lazy and someone stating that everyone who eats a McD is, must quite frankly,be too far up his own arris. Harleyman
Id put Jack in the Box, Arbys, Taco Bell,White Castle/Krystal or Carl Jrs in those brackets. McDonalds is above them, not very far, but still above them in fast food terms of 'quality' We had a Jack in the Box not far from where I grew up as it was closed more than it was open due to county health code violations. I knew a friend in JHS who was served a burger there that was moldy and green :/ Arbys Roast beef sandwiches I like and Carls Juniors chile burgers also. For good Mexican food Chile's is the place to go. But Chile's are only located on the US west coast and as far east as Colorado. Best burgers at another chain only on the west coast called In N' Out. For the best all out variety of choice in fast food Legends is the place to go. The decor is all 1950s themed and you can listen to all the old Elvis, Everly Brothers and many more oldies hits while you eat It has to be realized though that even a chain restaurant is only as good as it's management. Being American by origin you might have heard of the Sizzler restaurant chain. There was a Sizzler not far from our house. Went there once and the food and hygienic conditions were crap. It closed down a couple of years ago. On the other hand there's a Sizzler over in the next town which is crowded all hours of the day. Salad bar and hor's d'ouvres section well stocked and fresh, squeaky clean and the main courses served hot and fast

A meat patty 2-1/2 inches in diameter stuck between a bun the same size, no fries, no nothing. Wimpy was a good name for the place though. I've seen families roll into McDs around suppertime. The mom with a backside the size of a baby elephant, dad in T-shirt and flip flops with a belly that only Budweiser Brewery could be proud of hauling a bushel of young kids along. None of my kids ever ate the main meal of the day at McDs A treat on rare occasions for a snack because they liked to play on the slides and trampolines that McDonalds stick outside their restaurants

Too bad you dont have really good family restaurants with a choice of tasty food at affordable prices, good service and some with special prices for seniors. Applebees, Red Rooster, Dennys, I-Hop, Claim Jumper, Outback, Red Lobster, Pepper Mill, Millies, Marie Callenders, House of Pancakes, Tony Roma's (for ribs), TGI Fridays, Bob Evans, Chile's and more that dont come to mind right now. You can find anyone of the above within driving distance of my home

And gherkins are awesome.

Teddybare
Gherkins? Dont like em at all. Give me gas. Too bad you aint around to sample some of it Must be a terrible combination with all that acidity and bile. Maybe if you stopped trying to swallow them whole it'd help.
