JFKvsNixon
Yes it is, most of the acts playing are dire. I guess you're not it's target audience, who would you rather played?
JFKvsNixon
Two weeks with Janners who hate you and all you stand for? I don't think so. Janners are from Plymouth, not Cornwall.
Balpin
Janners are from Plymouth, not Cornwall. They can be from where I want them to be, if you dont mind. They are all tarred with same brush anyway.
janie48
The Isle of Wight festival is really suffering. The poor weather has led to traffic backing up to the dock on the Isle of Wight yesterday, this has meant that the ferries are unable to unload anybody. So hundreds were reported to be stranded on ferries and thousands in Portsmouth. The situation hasn't improved much today, many were forced to sleep in the cars overnight due to the continuing traffic chaos, the cars are being towed individually into the car park by tractors. Here's a video of the festival where if you notice that even a Land Rover is being towed by a tractor! Yes it sounds terrible,i'm glad i decided not to hitchike down to Portsmouth for the Isle of Wight festival again this year.

I, and a few mates hitch-hiked down for the one with Bob Dylan, in 1970 I think it was. The weather was great, we slept in the open it was so warm. What has happened these last few years? We don't seem to have a decent season.

It's been estimated that six hundred thousand people attended that festival. They've been showing parts of it on Sky Arts.
Balpin
I'm speaking as a Janner! I will let you off then In the Merchant Navy, we used to refer to all Cornishmen as Janners, sorry to offend, as I know Cornishmen are easily offended.
janie48
I can't think of anything better than spending a week in Cornwall . It was only to St Ives this time poppins, but the weather was good i was lucky, it was the 18th May when we had that short spell of Summer. Spending two weeks in Cornwall? Two weeks would have been better,it feels like months ago now since that holiday.
