PeteMorris
Perhaps they feel bitter and resentful because they are not getting enough hugs. Can I have one?....
LeMaquis
Disasterous Dave and his governmental cronies are teaching people how to be bitter and resentful. After the 1980s I'm surprised that people still vote Conservative; you'd have thought they had learned their lesson. Just got in from last night? There are a lot more of people resentful of Blair than of Cameron, especially war widows and Gordon Brown.
Badlittlepup
The big problems with bitterness and resentment is that if you allow yourself to feel either then it's very likely that you are the biggest loser as a result because it colours how you interact with your world. Exactly, and because you interact with the world bitterly and resentlfully people react badly to you which makes you even more bitter and resentful and it becomes a vicious cycle. janie48
When people are suffering,it is normal to feel bitter and resentful in stages. Its not quite the same as being a bitter resentful person all the time. For instance sometimes in painful situations outbursts of anger are understandable, and sometimes it can be better to release those feelings. Anyone who has worked caring for sick patients, will understand this.

HeadingNorth
When people are suffering,it is normal to feel bitter and resentful in stages. It appears to be normal, yes; but what useful purpose does it serve? It certainly doesn't alleviate the suffering, and if anything it gets in the way of doing something about it. HeadingNorth
What usually happens when you corner someone and poke them with a stick? What usually happens, is not in dispute. The question is, what purpose does it serve - there must have been some evolutionary reason why we react with bitterness, but nobody's offered any suggestions yet.
