MrSmith
Put it this way, it's very difficult to generate such large amounts of income for yourself: 1) Legally 2) Morally And yet many public sector executives manage it, even Tony Blair managed it, if he can do it, it must be legal and moral. anywebsite
Put it this way, it's very difficult to generate such large amounts of income for yourself: 1) Legally 2) Morally I suppose it depends on your morals & what you consider very difficult. If you consider something that 99% of people can't do very difficult, then you've covered it. Many people are millionaires by honest & moral means. Doctors, dentists & headteachers earn more than £100k a year on average, with a few shrewd investments it isn't hard to imagine a few being millionaires. Then there are business owners, it doesn't need to be a huge business or employ child slaves for the owner to be a millionaire.
Forumosaurus
The rich are the people who make wealth for the UK. I'm as common as anything and even I realise that.

Gordonb
So many peope blame the rich or politicians who in the majority of cases were helping themselves to large chunks of money within a legal framework. Whether it was morally or ethically correct is not the point. At last someone in Govt./HMRC is taking action to recover money that was stolen from the UK by criminals. Weird thing is that many of these cases are outstanding from 2000 onwards. Why didn't the last government do something about it. see attached link
