scousemouse
.......I can't imagine ever being bored since I retired. Plenty of charities can always use a extra pair of hands. I wouldn't admit to being bored!!
ripon street
This is not a problem that I have experienced, because much as I enjoyed my work,I was happy to take early retirement to do things that I preferred. In my case it's sports, grandchildren, messing about round the house and garden. I had some vague thoughts about voluntary work, but 3 years on I haven't had the time or inclination to pursue this,as I'm too busy enjoying the freedom. I hope you find something to occupy your time other than day time tv or the pub. If all else fails can't you go back to roofing. You may be right about returning back to work, anyone out there with a roofing problem?!!!!.

RJRB
thanks. did you quote for it?. To tempt me away from my retirement activities I would want £100 per hour,in the hand, and as I've no roofing experience it could take months,so I am not competing:|
Mrs Overall
when I retired early from my job as a roofer I made a big mistake i have never been as bored! any suggestions?. Seriously, I think it takes a lot of getting used to retirement, if you've worked for 50 yrs it must come as a bit of a shock.. hope you find something suitable to take works place..
