Israeli flag added to Star and Stripes

US backing hasn't created any sort of peace in the last 60 years so maybe it's time to try a new approach.

this is just understating the huge achievement of peace with Egypt, which while it may be a somewhat cold peace, is still peace, and also understating the Oslo accords and peace with Jordan. Even though the current situation is very uncertain, it's still much much better than it was in the 1960s and 70s.

The fact is, Israel has not even defined her own borders yet. Whyever not? Please tell us why Israel hasn't publically defined where her own borders are.

in accordance with UNSCR 242, and in agreement with interested parties Egypt, Jordan, the PLO (but not Syria and Hamas) final status including borders is supposed to be achieved by negotiation. You are overlooking, that the Palestinians have not publicly defined what their borders are supposed to be either.

Are these the same Oslo accords that <snigger> israel is breaking by <ho ho> building illegal settlements on the West Bank in contrary to the accords?

Oh how silly of me to have noticed that israel refuses to abide by such agreements while <ha ha> demanding its opponents do the same.

Why, I could even excuse the israelis of lying through their teeth, but Obama did that for me, didn't he? That'll cost him dearly at the next election :nono:

And as mentioned, the israeli land grab continues with no negotiations, which suits the israelis.

Nonsense! What land grab? Quick look, Iran has a nuclear bomb and wants to start ww3!

And if that don't distract you we'll have to start rounding up immigrants. :hihi:

If it's a false peace that is only sustained by imposing a military dictatorship over an unwilling people, which may in the near future be revoked as said military loses its power, what will it have achieved?

Egypt is much more of a threat after 40years of military investment from the US than it ever was before.

Lessons from Mubarak's demise will only serve to make future leaders appear to be more anti Israeli to appease their citizens. The same will happen in Jordan and we will be back exactly where we started.

Someone told me only the other week that the US and Isreal were privy to 911 before hand :hihi:

The world full of nutters :D

Have a read of Tom Clancy's "Executive Orders" - scary parallels with 9/11. It was written in 1996.

CNN reports:

In 1998, U.S. intelligence had information that a group of unidentified Arabs planned to fly an explosives-laden airplane into the World Trade Center, according to a joint inquiry of the House and Senate intelligence committees.

However, the Federal Aviation Administration found the plot "highly unlikely given the state of that foreign country's aviation program," and believed a flight originating outside the United States would be detected before it reached its target inside the country, the report said.
