CMOT_Dibbler Posted June 30, 2012 Share Posted June 30, 2012 I grew up on Holtwood Road, my cousin on Abbeyfield Road - Pitsmoor in the fifties and sixties was a great place to grow up despite its reputation. Yes at one time Abbeyfield was posh - so was Burngreave road. My dad has a map detailing all the professions of the owners in the early years and there were a lot of lawyers, doctors and some senior soldiers (colonel's and such like) - changed a bit hasn't it and not for the better.
