Young guy taking his groceries home [A whinge]

Recommended Posts

I saw a fit and healthy looking young guy taking his supermarket shopping home today. He was walking towards Hunters Bar roundabout carrying a four pack of toilet rolls and a half filled carrier bag of groceries ..... in a large supermarket shopping trolley.

Surely it would be physically more of an effort wheeling the trolley over the bumps in the pavements and up and down the causeway edges than just carrying them by hand

Gah.

Maybe it was his fitness regime ... much more difficult than carrying it home in a bag. You said so yourself.

Today whilst out shopping we saw a women get tired of waiting in the long line of other shoppers so she took her goods right past the till and through the door without paying.

you seem to have missed the point that he appears to have stolen a supermarket trolley

Didn't miss it, just didn't want to get into an extended whinge ;)

Supermarket trolleys fifteen or more years ago used to cost the supermarkets £60, bound to be more now despite their buying power. :wow:

He might have found it in the street and was in the process of taking it back.

Maybe, but he was wheeling his Sainsbury shopping trolley away from Sainsbury's in the direction of Lateshopper.

Maybe he was confused despite his good intention. :hihi:

I walk through a sink estate once a week,on my way to work. (up here in Scotland)

I think it's gyro day,and all the houses have a trolley parked up on their drives.(Tesco is 5 minutes away).Maybe it's a status symbol?Or they are just keeping up with the Joneses.

She then plonked it into a supermarket trolley and sped off down the road.
