PopT
i've found a bit of interesting info. Many musicians, actors and music hall acts used to stay in accomodations in the rooming houses around the Pinstone Street area which was surrounded by many theatres and music halls. It's not beyond belief that the Pleasances would stay in this area and so I think Mom could have been right when she said they 'lived' there at one time. I do not know if Pleasance the jewellers were relations but it could be they stayed with them. PopT

Diana Rigg & Brian Blessed are from Doncaster and Donald Pleasance was from Worksop - not only not Sheffield, but not even in the same county... Sheffield does have plenty of it's own stars though, and most of them appear in your list...
