We have a couple of firm musical favourites return this month to play our regular Wednesday live music night: July 4th - Michael J Tinker - Michael and Washboard Pete are back at La Mama this Wednesday evening. Mike never fails to get your foot tapping and your ears listening with his original take on the Blues/Americana/Jazz sound. Performance from 7pm, more info - www.michaeljtinker.com. July 11th - The Seven Shades - Popular Sheffield Jazz band The Seven Shades will be making their weekday debut at La Mama this month. Expect to hear Swing Jazz, Bossa Nova and oodles of the 'old classics' including the likes of Cole Porter, Louie Armstrong, Miles Davis, Antonio Jobim, Wes Montgomery and Duke Ellington. Not to be missed. From 7pm. Don't forget you can enjoy listening to these wonderful Sheffield artists and take advantage of our Tapas Happy Hour deal - 6pm to 7.30pm (Tuesday to Thursday) - 4 Tapas for £12. and finally... On July 26th of this month La Mama has something different lined up for you. We welcome a new up and coming Sheffield artist, Steve Hopkins, to exhibit his latest work that features his interpretation of the British Olympic Games 2012. Opening will be on the eve of the London Olympic Games from 7pm. Tapas Happy Hour will be served all night to celebrate this event. Hope to see you soon.
