ruby3m
We have a birthday night out for a group of 10 - 5 couples all in our early to mid 40's. It's Friday 27th July and we wanted something a bit lively as we don't think of ourselves as down and out and on our simmers just yet. We want some drinks, something nice to eat, and then some entertainment of some description - a bit of dancing would be tremendous. Not really into bowling and we've done the comedy club! Budget not really the issue, more that we go out and have a fantastic night when we can laugh, drink and enjoy! Any ideas anyone??? All suggestions gratefully received. My friend went to Strada in Leopold Square for her 50th. It was a nice restaurant but didnt rate the food. Also in Leopold square there is zizzis, wagama (been in neither) and aagrah (indian). Been in there a few time and liked the food and good atmosphere. The bars in Leopold square are good, Platillos, Le Floret and Popolos. They play good music and there is a good atmosphere and mixed age group. Also a terrace to sit or stand out if weather nice not much chance of that! Me and a friend like Bessemer on Leopold Street play good music from 60s to 80s a lot of soul and motown which i love and has a small dance floor. Also Maggie Mays (dj used to be in Bessemer) which is the old Alibi Trippet Lane.
modforlife
Depends what type of thing you are looking for. If you like live bands try West St live about 10 ish . It's usually good in there. Plus if you like pubs with older type music, as opposed to gangster rap type stuff. Either do Bar1 , followed by Leopoldo square, or alternatively division st
