WhiteHawk
Just seen 3 cars parked up on the side of the ring road in town (between West Street & Matilda Street). What are they there for? They've just pulled someone up on Matilda Street aswell..
Cyclone
Think that they were there last night as well, maybe pulling up cars with no tax/insurance?
alchresearch
General spot checks. So many on here moan that speed cameras don't catch other faults and issues, so maybe they're acting on what people want?
Cyclone
Spot check can't generally spot bad driving though, they'd actually have to drive around to do that.
DT Ralge
Police in cars, parked up or cruising, makes a welcome change from their normal hidden-away, doing paperwork status. Did anyone get a picture? It could easily have been half the county's cars seen in one place!
Bloomdido
How do you know they were parked randomly?
Cyclone
The one that was at the Waitrose roundabout, on the hatched area at the inside of the junction as you join from the direction of the train station looked pretty random (in reality it was a position he couldn't be seen as you came around the roundabout). Forumosaurus
You don't know they were pulling people over randomly. Even if they were, they're well within their rights to do so. Most people commit a crime every time they drive by not carrying with them their full paper and plastic license.

Lounge Jay
Think that they were there last night as well, maybe pulling up cars with no tax/insurance? Meanwhile, peoples houses are being burgled and general anti-social behavior is taking place...
