ynguk
I see there is what looks to be a new Indian restaurant in Hillsborough next to Wetherspoons/Deep End. Is this open now? And if so has anyone tried it yet?
medusa
This is the one that's been (in rapid succession) a Chinese restaurant, a noodle bar and a buffet place? There was a sign up a couple of weeks ago saying that it was opening soon, but not mentioning any date.
fox20thc
well its had a facelift, nice repaint and they were litter picking the garden the other day so hopefully it will be a nice addition to the borough.
ynguk
My wife tells me the Indian is open now, or it seemed so when she went past on the tram. I shall sample it tomorrow if I have time and report my findings.
Meaks
It looks like they are at least making an effort with it this time, unlike the previous 2 or 3 Oriental incarnations. Looks like it could be worth a look.
MuteWitness
Just got back from the weatherspoons and the owner of the indian was walking around giving out menus - says the chef has had 25+ years experience but its the owners first restaurant. ynguk
I had to be good to my word, so off I went to the new indian early tonight to sample the menu. The word is good! The decor is great, the service is excellent(these boys cant do enough for you) and the food was lovely. The gentleman who owns the place was very pleasant is really working hard to get everything just right, the attention to the little details are great. Me and my wife have eaten at a fair percentage of the Indian restaurants in Sheffield and this it seems will be a little pearl, it really stands up to the best of them.
