It was The Sportsman - known by the locals as 'Mary's House' and was actually a little further down than the library, but on the same side. Conway and Cutts electrical shop stood (and had for around 200 years) where the library is. Next door was a Tannery.

 

When did it move Nigel because it has been where it is now at least since 1955 to my knowledge. Didn't know they had electrical equipment in 1813.

All right. What is it that people say about sarcasm? You know what I meant about the shop. However, I believe Dr Frankenstein had it long before anyone else.
