Without doubt one of the finest singer song-writer’s of his generation, marketing men will tell you that something like one in five homes has a Paul Heaton album. Be it from his time fronting the Housemartins or later the massively successful Beautiful South, Paul Heaton has been troubling the charts with melodies, anthems, kitchen-sink dramas and vignettes for over twenty five years.

Already this year Paul has toured Britain and Ireland on his bicycle covering some 2500 miles in his campaign to save the pub. Having competed that, he wasted no time in touring with his production of the “8th” an eight verse song sung and narrated by some of the finest and unique vocal and acting talents from both here and the USA.

Now with three sublime solo albums now under his belt, Heaton still occasionally reminds us of his multi million selling back catalogue. It is a catalogue still as crisp and bitter sweet as the first time those songs took you by the throat.

Paul and his band return home to Sheffield on September 6th to support of the Hope Not Hate campaign, proudly supported by Sheffield Indie band Standard Fare.

Tickets can be bought online here :- http://www.the-plug.com/events-and-tickets/live/paul-heaton or from the Plug box office.
