Maxster
I have an issue with my car whereby it now won't start due to the EMU not powering the fuel pump. The car is a ongoing project which did start but due to re-wiring now does not. The engine is a Subaru EJ20. Are there any auto electrians who specialise in Subaru's or EMU's willing to take a look? Maxster
Just to clarify when I said "willing to take a look" I actually meant payment would be made to the qualified person who attended and fixed it as opposed to doing it for nothing. Hope this clarification accelerates the replies now...
Maxster
So perhaps this should be re title as job opportunity exist in the Sheffield area for a new business which specifically targets modern electric components in cars. From the responses I have received, none, there are no auto electricians capable of tackling this issue. Given every modern car has engine management this could be a great business opportunity. Maxster
OK, so perhaps too much technical detail in the first post; let's keep it simple to start off with. Anyone know what a car is?

smithy266
Try Neil Grayson, Ulverston Road, just off Woodseats Road. He sorted my old Landie at my home.
jbauto
hi mate how do you know its down to the emu not powering the fuel pump? what have you checked? thanks
Maxster
Checked that when the ignition switch is turned power is received at the EMU. Checked the fuel pump relay, which is controlled by the EMU, and no power. If I remove the fuel pump relay I can make a temporary connection and the fuel pump runs. Therefore I am thinking hat the EMU needs a control signal to tell the fuel pump relay to start which may not be there.
