willman
I carry my insurance details in the car now, precisley because of that. The database that is used seems t be worryingly flakey at times it has to be said. which is great until your car is nicked with the documents in it. I carry no "legal" id or documentation on my person or in my car (thats if they don't accept a debit card as legal i.d). If they want to see it i'll pop in with it. Moosey
I am reliably informed that MIB is the data base that is generally available for the public to use. The police & other authorities use a much faster up to date version of MIB, as well as other data bases that are only available for police to use ! You'd be right. The police, insurers, and us lawyers get to use a different one, that not only tells us whether someone's insured, but gives other details to. AskMID is the free version - MIDIS is the full one.
