Yes you did type that statement, I'm sorry it upset you sense of fragility, but quoting accidents happen in the same way consistent typing errors happen in your case. There are likely to be many people that have never committed rape and lead a normal life because they have access to porn. No one has argued that. It’s been constantly argued that porn increases sexual offences but as you haven’t disagreed with the above statement you must be accepting that access to porn stops some people committing rape. I never make typing errors, what I type is intentional, but because I’m dyslexic I often type the wrong ward, miss a ward out or spell something incorrectly. Ok, I'll try to take your 'dyslexia' into consideration and try to simplify things. We are not discussing people with a fantasy agenda, fantasy is ok, as a fantasy you can watch porn till it bleeds from your eyes and it'll still be a fantasy. Even though it objectifies women the viewer doesn't read it as that, it's a sexual gratification thing that goes no further than themselves or consenting partners. How you use the product is dependent on the mush between your ears. Now, If you're a rapist/misogynist (objectifies the opposite sex) and watch porn, (objectifies the opposite sex) the mush between your ears reads it as confirmation, but more importantly REAL, not a fantasy, and because the objectification is real the fantasy is redundant, other than a vehicle used as a spring board to their needs. Are you seriously concluding if you put both together it'll reverse their condition and reduce violence towards the opposite sex? There are likely to be many people that have never committed rape and lead a normal life because they have access to porn. :huh:Well yeah, only because the "many people" don't have the friggin mindset of a rapist or misogynist, why would they? and no one has suggested otherwise. You on the other hand are lumping the whole population as one as an argument. You don't have to be a sexual deviant to use it, otherwise I'd be condemning most on here who at some time will have used it, including myself. What's got your knickers in a twist is you likely watch porn like the rest of the population, but unlike the rest have serious guilt issues and defend it with, 'hey, porn cures rapists', don't, unless of course you're a reformed rapist because of "porn medication" otherwise it just makes you look a dumb ass. I know, you clearly didn't bother to read any of the many links I have posted, we are not talking about rapists, we are talking about porn reducing the amount of rape, when access to porn increased, rape crime decreased, ergo some people that may have become rapists didn't become rapists because they had access to porn, so less rapes. This has happened in many countries around the world, internet porn access increased, sexual crime decreased. No one as argued that giving porn to someone that has already committed rape will stop them committing more rape. I’m not convinced that it’s my dyslexia causing the problem with your lack of comprehension, but if you can’t comprehend what I type maybe it would be better if you don’t respond, and insults say more about your character than mine and give the impression you don’t actually want to discuss the topic and would rather derive pleasure from trying to offend people. If a non rapist can turn to rape because he has more or less access, why can't a rapist be medicated by it and revert to a fantasy consumer? You only have to use reverse psychology on the rubbish you've put forward to see how ludicrous it is. Porn doesn't create or cure rape but it readily acknowledges the particular characteristics of what already exist in a particular sick mind. The majority are not sick and don't turn sick because they have access. You clearly also don't understand dyslexia, I can't correct my mistakes because to me they don't appear to be mistakes. I see the missing ward when I read what I wrote. I see the correct ward when I read what I wrote despite the fact I may have written the wrong ward. I few members understand this and correct my errors with humour instead of insults. But if it makes you feel better to use the internet to insult othesr, go for it, it may prevent you from doing it in reality and so prevent a crime. Many people assume that violent crime is increasing or that the UK is becoming a dangerous place to live etc. Perhaps a look at the facts are in order. We live in a very safe part of the world and its getting safer. Link Lets get the Olympics out of the way before we pat ourselves on the back about low Murder rates.
