Ten pound scratch cards..

Recommended Posts

as a matter of interest if you can play blackjack well and bet properly based on the known strategy, and sit there long enough, the odds are about 0.4% in the houses favour on a 4 deck shoe, one of the "best" games in a casino in terms of odds against you.

if you can card count, and make it look like you arent, then you can actually improve your odds past 100%, for a short period, when the cards are in your favour.

hence why casinos ban people who can card count or even bet like they are doing so. so they as usually keep the advantage firmly in their favour.

roulette is one of the proper "mug" games and probably as bad if not worse than buying 10 quid scratchcards. not sure what the actual posted odds are on the back of the cards, they will be declared on there somewhere.

I don't know what they are either, but I'd stake a large sum of money on the expected return being a great deal less than 97%, as roulette provides.

there will be a big rush as usual on friday for the 100 millionaires lottery draw. i think its about time the lottery was overhauled and the top prize reduced, with better prizes for the lesser wins, on a regular basis. time for a shake up of it all imho.

I think it's about time that schoolchildren were taught about how gambling in general, and the lottery in particular, work. About how any system in which way more money goes in (ticket prices) than goes out (prize money) is a bad gamble.

The lottery is, effectively, simply a tax on gullibility.

There will only be a certain amount of £4million top prize..£10 scratch card up for grabs .

So when those top prizes have been won,do they take the rest out of circulation? Surely it would be false advertising if the still sell them, even when the top prizes have been won.

Ok i know there is still loadsa smaller amounts to be won.
