Lounge Jay
Some of the shopping channels are selling Christmas stuff already, and more than ever before I thought what....the....****!!!!! I know it starts early every year, but are we going to say, not this year, enough is enough now?

Doubt it TBH, some people love doing it like that, personally I love Christmas its the only thing we've got left; I just hope they don't PC that as well. I know some places have tried, i.e. winter bloody festival. Still ask grandkids what they want from santa, would hate that ever to be taken form kids. HeadingNorth
Advertisers don't waste money on adverts for things that will not sell... ...if they're advertising Christmas products, it's because people will buy them. If nobody ever bought Christmas products until December 1st, nobody would be wasting money advertising the things.

I think it's probably more commercialism rather than PC that's destroying Christmas.

I was going to complain about the prevalence of "back to school" advertising when the children have only just broken up. Then I saw this. It's not even August yet! It's like groundhog day. This is my 55th Christmas on earth, and I've never heard it called that, so you must be very old or going back a long time indeed, oh & not knocking your beliefs either.
