Total Chaos
Is it a goldmine ripe to be exploited by the government. I pay 12pence to send one 100 word tex by phone. That's a lot of money for phone companies. Why?? try tesco, they send you a sim of your chosen tariff, from £7.50 and so on per mth and can cancel with a mths notice. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=tesco+mobile+sim+only&source=newssearch&cd=1&ved=0CDAQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.tescomobile.com%2Fsim-only&ei=EfQPUIKnA5OZ0QWosYH4DA&usg=AFQjCNERQrUSLfvIpokBARrI7OTAt-Jq_Q
alchresearch
There used to be a charge. Prestel charged 5p per MBX (mailbox) message in 1985, which was equivalent to about a page of teletext (which is what the system display was). You could even TELEX a company for 50p.
