Steve78
I recently bought a 2001 Toyota MR2 from a private seller which turns out to be in need of repair. The engine management light came on the day after I bought it, I took it to Halfords Autocentre who suggested I needed a new cat, but they tried replacing the upstream lambda sensor first. The car now drives fine under about 3000-3500 revs but there is no power at any higher revs. MR2 owners tell me it's probably the pre-cat that has broken up and is now blocking the main cat. . Can anyone recommend a garage who would be able to take a look at it for me before I spend a fortune at somewhere like Halfords. Thanks Steve
