Sarah Kane
It isnt easy I want a car for £1000 or less that isnt a rust bucket and is safe and runs well. This seems like an impossible task.

HeadingNorth
Dark colour cars retain more heat, which makes them uncomfortably warm in summer and less horribly cold in winter. If you at least have enough wit to know that you're a complete idiot when it comes to cars, the best thing to do is to find someone who does know what they're talking about and ask them to accompany you on your visits to dealers. It's what I would do, since I wouldn't recognise a dodgy looking engine if someone hit me over the head with it. I don't know whether there is anyone making a living out of charging, say, £50 to help you spend your money wisely; usually it's a case of getting a relative or friend to help you out. Gazza58
Pretty sure the AA and RAC do a service similar to that.

Main thing is make sure it has 12 months M. O T. on it.
