dutch
That new musical at crucible about park hill flats and the people who lived there over the years to today is absolutely fantastic. It has a great sense of humour, love for Sheffield and got a full standing ovation when we were there. Edited March 21, 2019 by dutch
dutch
That musical" standing at the sky's edge" is close to sold out now, and that does not surprise me. If they had the time they could easily paste another month to keep that going.
Dozer
The Guardian loved it too. https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2019/mar/23/standing-at-the-skys-edge-review-crucible-downstate-national-richard-iii-alexandra-palace We're very lucky to have the Crucible here. Janus
The block of flats said to be Europe's largest listed building has been awarded £500,000 for repair work. The money, awarded by Historic England, will go towards the second phase of the redevelopment of Park Hill in Sheffield. The funding is for structural repairs to parts of the concrete frame, some of which is crumbling, it said. A further 195 homes will be created as part of phase two, developers said. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-south-yorkshire-51092385 Edited January 13, 2020 by Janus

Fudbeer
Does that mean the entire block/blocks will now be developed? Also I know its only for repairs but for a massive project like that does not sound a lot of money.
