Recommended Posts

The Sheffield Fans Derby is a twice yearly event between Sheffield United Fans and Sheffield Wednesday Fans to raise money for charity.

SFD8 took place at the end of May and is expected to have raised over £3000 for SHC South Yorkshire Heart Appeal.

They are pleased to announce that SFD9 is to take place at Don Valley Stadium on Thursday 18th October 2012 with a 7:30pm Kick-Off.

The charity the event will be supporting this time is Sophie's Wish who help raise funds for Brain Tumour research.

Sheffield Fans Derby invite players who would like to take part in the event to register their interest.

The main criteria is that they should be fans of either club, can play amateur football to a reasonable level and feel they can raise good sponsorship for the charity.

If you feel you would like to take part please go to the website sheffieldfansderby.co.uk and follow the registration links which will provide full details.

We're delighted to have been chosen as the partner charity for this forthcoming event.

Brain tumours are currently the biggest cancer killer of children and people under 40 yet less than 1% of research spend on cancer in this country goes to brain tumour research.

We do hope that people will really get behind this event. It should be a fantastic night.
