It's across the road from the beach but not a problem, you can walk in 5 mins (lots of wildlife to look at on the way) or you can take the "wally trolley" that runs up and down all day. The hotel itself is really nice and the food and staff are second to none. We are planning on the Riu Palace for next year as we fancy a change but love Mexico and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
