What a great time that was.. ... yes you are rright duffems...twas 1956...I was on a motorcycle at the time ,,,coz I did not want to park my Minor 1000 van at the movie house ...ripping seats up and fighting out side....so parked the old motorbike round the corner....I was older than I thought ...18 not 16 yrs...my mind is fading...like the movie and the era,,

ripon street
I agree, the late 50,s, and all of the 60,s were indeed great years, there was a lot of fun to be had, lots of work for most and people were happy with their lot, sadly it's all gone downhill from there. Blame the government for making reckless decisions not in the best interests of England, will it ever recover? not in my lifetime. I still love England and always will despite this. Derek Clayton Australia do you ever get back to the uk?.
