bigsexydoug
comparing us to australia is not even a close comparison, in australia, after 7 years of employment nurses (not sure if all or some) get 13 weeks holiday extra that year on full pay on top of their annual holiday. Mister M
its only £22,860 a year, it is bad compare to what most of my friends earn Hang on a minute, weren't you berating unemployed people on another thread for not wanting to work part time at minimum wage levels? But I could be getting the Tory trolls mixed up.
Skirmisher
On the news an Australian was being interviewed, he had bought tickets from an 'Olympic website', it was a fake site and he had been ripped off. He said he was poorly paid and only earned A$16.95 and hour (£11.43), so it was a big loss for him. So, £11.43 an hour? It's not a bad rate but I wouldnt work for it. Surely its all down to the nature of the work.If it was something prestigious like judging the Come Dancing event you would leap at the chance? Obelix
http://www.emigratetoaustralia.org/average-wages-australia.html According to that the average Australian wage is MUCH more than the AUS$32500 this bloke claims to earn. I think the average (mean) UK wage is more than that - it's the median figure that you really want to be considering.
