Del_Boy
My vax carpet cleaner has just gone and I stupidly forgot to register it when I bought it last summer, anyone know if they check proof of when you purchase it, because I'm a cheeky chappy I may try and register it saying I bought it recently Apart from that it says standard guarntee applies, anyone know what that is? Strix
It's usually 12 months, and date of purchase can usually be estimated from the serial number. If there's a good chance it's out of date by serial number, you'll be asked for your receipt

Leah-Lacie
When mine died on me, I had only had it about 2 months but hadn't registered it. It had a 12 month warranty so I rang them up and told them the problem but that I hadn't registered it. They asked me the purchase date so I estimated it and told them it was from Litlewoods (was the clearance littlewoods on ebay) and they sent me the belt to repair it myself. medusa
Vax machines can come with anything up to a 7 year warranty, depending on the model, so it's worth looking up how long the manufacturer's warranty is before you do anything else.
