Conflict in Syria.

Recommended Posts

the Assad regime is finished. That is not in doubt any more. The Prime Minister, only appointed in June, just defected. The only question is when it will finally collapse totally.

Forces loyal to Assad may hold on for a few more months, or they may implode in a matter of days. But even if it's the latter that does not mean the chaos in Syria will cease. Far from it.

At least they're is more news coming out now the games are drawing to a close.

As predicted from posts on here the crisis is escalating, and didn't someone on here say we wouldn't get too involved! but the innocent and suffering over they're are needing more help.

Thankfully the USA has Hilary Clinton involved in the peace talks, and as tensions appear to be getting worse its good that she is in Syria now and is arranging more financial support, and with William Hague offering an extra £5m too that should help the situation.

Does anyone really understand why this civil war appears to be getting worse.I keep hearing little snippets on the news about the crisis but with the Olympic Games dominating the headlines they're isn't that much information. The PM met Putin on Thursday we heard they're were to be talks between them about the crisis, but nothing has been mentioned about the outcome, the media seem to have just focused on Mr Putin's interest in Judo.

Now Khofi Annan has resigned and says he despairs of the situation, and the latest is that China is blaming the West, why?

In the meantime masses of civilians are being killed including children, and they're is a shortage of food.

That is why the Olympics are on

Ahh, the voice of reason and rationality. Of course, our friend Drone is right, the real reason for the Olynpic Games being created all those years back is so that one day in the distant future, London can host it and televise it, to distract from the Syrian civil war which happens to coincide with. Obviously.
