LisaNewton
After all that amazing Olympic action, take a look at this if you're inspired to get out there yourselves! The Big Running Weekend, sponsored by Peterman’s Fork Lift Trucks, is the first event of it’s kind in the Peak District National Park. The event is held at Whirlow Hall Farm over the late August Bank holiday and the aim is to raise funds for Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, the classroom in the countryside for children of all ages which is based on the farm. Featuring the headline event, another first, the New Balance Ultra Tour of the Peak District.56.5 Miles of what we think is the best off road running terrain in Derbyshire. Other events include a 12+ mile trail race, 10K Whirlow Trail Challenge, Farm themed fun run and 3K Junior race. So the weekend is not just for the serious runner, it's for the whole running family! There will also be onsite camping, live music, food and a bar, plus plenty of other running related events including orienteering to entertain the whole family. We hope you will run for Whirlow and help us to raise vital funds for one of the city’s best loved charities.
