"........... In no case would a PSV be expected to create or publish the content, this would be provided by the SNT Inspector or Sergeant who would then seek the advice of the PSV in advance of the SNT Inspector or Sergeant publishing the information.

Twitter.

Facebook

Sheffield forum

Does anyone else think they should concentrate on policing rather than wasting valuable time posting live feeds via twitter about what they are up to?

I mean, only the curtain twitchers and saddos really care enough to read these inane feeds whilst the rest of us just want an effective, VISIBLE police force.

SYP, get of your backsides and makes our streets safer.

Its your job!!! :rant:

Interesting article here where SYP put forward that their use of some social networking has actually kept our streets safer;

Really? Or have they just been juggling statistics to balance the figures?

Don't believe everything you read. Just because scumbags 'get off' it doesn't make for safer streets.

Thank you sir. I think that's the last we'll see of the OP on this thread now, because they tend to hide away like cowards to let the thread drop down the listings rather than apologise or admit they're wrong.

If the Police didn't tell people on Twitter, Facebook, Sheffield Forum what they are up to they would be accused of being too secret, there would be an uproar in Parliment, MPs would be demanding the Police become more accountable for their actions.

Now the Police are being accountable by telling us what they are doing you (Sarah Kane) are still not satisfied.

It all boils down to; "The Police can please most of the people most of the time, but the Police cannot please all of the people all of the time".

Personally I think the Police do a great job whether it be on the beat or on the Internet.

That would be OK but who would answer the phone, type up the reports, the officers who should be as you put it out on beat?

They better not go on the beat as be too much like work
