I invite intelligent discussion and free thinking. The only thing that interests me about theism is why people believe what they do. Very few ever come up with a reason as such. Most have just been brought up that way (indoctrinated). Some have had an experience they can't explain, so jump to the conclusion that it must be a supernatural cause. Quite a few times I've heard people say simply that they don't like the idea that there is no God. Similarly, some say the thought of no afterlife terrifies them. This actually isn't affected by being an atheist, as not believing in gods doesn't mean you can't believe in an afterlife or any other supernatural subject.
